Sup! I've got a question about whether or not something counts as Magic and how it interacts with the tattoo system. Sorry in advanced for the tl;dr

So, Hikari here and his entire bloodline is cursed with sort of... inner bloodlust demons that for Hikari manifests as an evil Shadow Hikari that talks to him and acts like the worst kind of sadistic awful intrusive thoughts. Most of the time, Hikari has it pretty well under control, but it has outright taken over his body on a few occasions. Notably, this Shadow curse has a supernatural origin via a distant ancestor who had messed about with dark magic and an evil god, and implicitly, the Shadow is residual influence of that evil god encouraging destruction and death.

But this Shadow seems like it can also be channeled to increase his power & martial prowess even without totally giving in. Game mechanically, it's an ability that charges over time which he can use to unleash one of a few very powerful attacks and in one instance gain an extra turn. Other characters describe him as sometimes fighting like a man possessed.

Anyway, the reason I mention all that is to illustrate that it does affect Hikari beyond just a persistent evil inner voice he has to fight against. Which brings me to the question of... would this be suppressed by whatever it is that suppressed magical abilities here sans tattoo? Or would it be treated as a sort of... natural ability? Or something in between, where idk maybe the voice or the Shadow's influence is present but dampened and unable to be channeled for heightened strength until Hikari gets a tattoo, and then it'll be back to normal?
