If you have any plots, quests, or events you'd like to host or suggest for us to run, just fill out the form and comment to this entry! The schedule is pretty flexible, so we should be able to slot it in fairly easy. We also would really love any ideas our players have, so don't be shy! /shoves the form in your hands with a smile—

Character: rem, xenk, dongfang, Kimmuriel, turo, and potentially others!
Type: not sure if quest or investigation? more like a mini plot that can contribute to an event or excursion
Idea:
HELLO SO. I just wanted to organize a list & summary for y'all wonderful mods just so you know who's contributing, who's doing what, and what the goals are regarding the characters' tombstone/ghost ship research. Mostly because this seems like a pretty big task they're undertaking, and also because this is a cross-canon, cross-crew, and cross-armada joint force that wishes to explore!
1. The ghost ship! The volunteers have an idea of narrowing down a list by looking through old harbor logs. Now, Rem is assuming that given the vessel's apparent grand size and style, it would have some sort of public record of it being anchored in a port, built, chartered for an excursion, or documented somewhere. Here is a list of clues they can use:
(1) vessel style, which is historical and can be narrowed down to a time frame
To do this, Rem, Donfang, & Xenk agreed to tackle the three main ports in investigating harbormaster logs together (Eltrut, Nogard, and Elah)-- and that's if they would be granted access to look through various logs. Kimmuriel is also helping. They would start with contacting asking permission of relevant authorities and owners, then move on to attempting to persuade any harbormaster or marina supervisors that knowing the origin of the ghostship is pertinent to their business' safety, if not the peace of the port itself. They would also ask around for clues from the locals. As for the other islands/ports (Atnam, Naughtilust) they have considered them as possibilities too, but there're only four volunteers at this point, and this month is as much as they can handle. This is kinda a monumental task, and with other things going on, their research is slowwww. Still, they at least hope to narrow down potential suspect vessels.(2) size, because similar to more modern marinas, ye olde marinas' capacity, water depth, and infrastructure also determined which size vessels can be appropriately accommodated
(3) whatever vessel fits the above criteria, the characters would eliminate any that were later marked to return to port (because clearly, the ghost ship never returned). Of the list of "ships-that-never-returned to port" that fit the size and historical type, they would also eliminate ships that have confirmed wreckages, were destroyed in battle, or were scuttled. This would leave them with a list of ships that left port but were never later accounted for their disappearance.
As for unique identifiers on the ghost ship (sigils and stuff), Prof. Turo happened to take some photos of the ship and the tombstone and shared them with the group! Even if they don't have the name of the vessel, they're hoping to use those identifiers to match to similar markings that might be listed in the harbor logs. If and when they are reopened to the public, the characters would like to also cross-match these same markings to things in the archives.
Goals.
(1)If and when they find their missing ship, they want to determine to where it sailed, and possibly, for what purpose. It's unknown if the tombstone was on the ship when it left port, or if the ship sailed away and then, somehow, encountered the tombstone.
(2) Eventually, they'd all like to travel to where went.
2. Tombstone itself. And this is specifically for when the archives open again: the characters wish to cross-match the script on the tombstone to other texts (i.e. if the author wrote any other works since there are other relics, made maps, etc.), and if the script is in a leger, to decipher it. Dongfang has a lot of experience looking over older texts, the others are willing to help, and Prof. Turo is also contributing a lot to this, whose background gives him the ability to pour over and process large swaths of data. Given that part of the latter's background is in analyzing ancient ledgers, he's kinda primed for this part of the research project, too. No doubt this will take more time, though, if they can even manage it.
Goals. They have a few ambitious ones which are dependent on how successful you want them to be, but here goes:
(1) to potentially link the work of this tombstone's maker to other relics, scrolls, maps, mentions of blood sacrifices, and stuff
Some additional notes that are relevant to characters' motivations:(2) to find out where the tombstone's origins were;
(3) to find out whose "soul"?? might be within the tombstone, or if they can at least identify an author or cult or w/e that might link it to other relicts (or possibly eliminate this theory if this is a one-time thing for the author). If the relics are linked by the same author, Kimmuriel believes one of the shards of the tombstone can be used to find others.
(4) to decode the script on it. like does it say something spooky??
(4) eventually, if they haven't found out where the ship went to yet in part 1, they wish to use the data gathered as a lead to where the tombstone is from.
(1) Xenk pretty much wants to find a way to destroy the tombstone and similar relics for good, especially if the soul inside the tombstone is lich-like
Rem, Donfang, Xenk, Kimmuriel, and Turo are the characters contributing so far! volunteers to help out are still being accepted tho', and I can update as needed to show who's helping out with what.(2) Rem has a vested interest in finding other old relics that she can potentially strip of spooky power and use for herself
Date: Whenever there's an open slot within a month for their research to come to fruition and that allows the ability to explore (1) to where the ghost ship went & (2) any leads on the tombstone relic. Like, a lot of the above is assuming the information even exists in the archives when they're publically open again, and it's all determined on how successful you want this group to be!

Character: rem tokimiya
Type: player plot rem wants to find something to use as the altocrystarium from her world /finally putting in a formal request
Idea:
So Rem here is in desperate search of an artifact that she can use in lieu of the Altocrytarium. So lemme explain what that is as well as her motivations first:
What is the Altocrystarium? Canonically, it's a term that refers to both a place and an artifact held within that same location. The artifact allows the character to submit phantoma (souls) to it in order to both increase the potency and efficiency of the spell, as well as learn/unlock the special and forbidden ones. Different spells require different types of souls submitted to enhance them.
Why does she want to do this? Rem wants to become stronger both to survive and to protect others. Enhancing her magic is her best way, and she wants two spells in particular:
1. Rem wants to be able to use the Reraise spell-- a high-level spell in which she can bring someone back from the dead (in Type-0, canonically a cadet is not KO'd, but dies). Rem currently has a work-around in her Undying Wish ability in which she can cast Resaise... but it only lasts a measly ten seconds. She wants to learn the actual Reraise spell properly. How does she know she can be able to use it? Because the Archsorceress in her world can use it, and she's the only one canonically shown to apply it. Rem knows she's not as strong as the Archsorceress at all, but she goes by the logic of "if it's possible for her to handle it, then I should be able to, too". Why does she want to learn this spell? Aside from the obvious, the spell canonically can be enchanted to items (as done by the Archsorceress in the first mission). Not saying Rem herself can enchant an item with reraise, but just explaining her motivation.
2. Rem also wants to learn the Death spell. Why does she want to learn the death spell? Because she was nerfed of her innate killsight ability. Death is a magic spell in Type-0 that applies Killsight to enemies. What is killsight? If someone marks you with killsight, you get hit once and you're dead.
I know that one can regain an ability with the rewards page! If Rem is allowed to succeed in using an artifact for this purpose, I'll still use the rewards submissions page to unlock that magic. This is just how she'd ICly try to go about unlocking an ability first, though, rather than brute-force attempting to learn Dead and Reraise on her own (and still using the reward page).
So I wanted to see if there was something at all possible Rem could find and use.
Is Rem capable of making the Altocryastrium? Personally, I don't think so. The Altocryastrium was made by the "mother-creator" of their world, who is, in fact, the Archsorceress. So if there was any question of how the Archsorceress was able to bring back people to life and how profound of a spell it is, it's because she's literally a creator deity in the first place.
Is Rem capable of modifying an in-game mysterious artifact to make an Altocrystarium? HERE IS WHERE THE REAL QUESTION IS. Because that would be up to y'all if she's successful. I would like to say yes she can, if only because Rem is desperate enough to continue at attempting. So OOCLY I'd rather have this done sooner than have it be an endless, ongoing thing. Or at least until she decides to go the whole "I'll learn how to raise people from the dead and apply killsight on them on my own"-route.
What would be suitable for an Altocrystarium? Probably, something very ancient and powerful? Her intent is not to use whatever item this is for its original purpose, but to modify it for her own. That is, to make it so that the soul she consumes will be translated to a new, permanent power (i.e. enhancement of a magic or unlocking a spell). Currently, Rem using phantoma only gives her a transient effect: it refills her magic capacity.
Can this be used as some other type of plot? Maybe? Rem will be gathering phantoma as is her duty. She typically hangs out late night around Nogard waiting for any bodies to be dumped by drunk or suspicious corsairs. Most of the time she's under the impression that no corsair cares about whose dead bodies they dump (because they're cutthroat ruffians). But, if y'all wanted to make it into "some on Nogard, are noticing that ppl have gone missing-- missing, missing, as in their bodies cannot be found" or "an important corsair noticed that their rambunctious son's body was never found after he lost a drunken duel", I'm game. Happy to have her be caught by characters who are interested in putting a stop to her serial soul-stealing (from dead people, not living).
She'll also be asking a few people to help her with an adventure to find an appropriate artifact. or steal one, if necessary.
Date: Whenever there's an open slot.
Questions: just the "can she do this plz" and if so what would the artifact be, or is it something i'd just have to continue to look out for in events, etc.

Character: kaveh
Type: event? event.
Idea: An island or leviathan with the effect of giving people animalistic form. In the case of characters who already have those (red, eustace), they may gain traits of some other animal, like. for funsies. Mythical creatures a-ok! Have fun with animal symbolism!
Date: Whenever there's a free slot!
Questions: sliding some lighthearted events in with all the drama

Character: Benedikta Harman |
Type: Player plot/event.
Idea: Within the first week of May, thanks to a Very Big emotional trigger, Benedikta will be fully priming into her Eikon, Garuda, a massive kaiju-sized winged harpy. Eltrut, Nogard, as well as any other nearby islands will be shrouded in violent winds and thick, black storm clouds as she wreaks havoc on the Leviathans and the open seas. There will be several environmental and magical effects that can come into play, just listing off some that could be possible:
Date: Beginning of May, just in time for the new Riftfarers :D
Questions: None! There may be more that I am forgetting, but that's ok, I'll just wield my magic mod wand—

Character: Dongfang Qingcang
Type: General Quest? Corsair?
Idea: Daqiang has publicly mentioned he has a "treasure pavilion" (which sounds grander than the closet he keeps his various magical treasures in) on the Network, back in February when he was looking for Orchid and offering a reward ("one treasure from this venerable one's treasure pavilion") for information on her whereabouts. Very recently (yesterday) he has openly and publicly accepted (once more on the network, without privacy filters) the offer of taking Emet-Selch's Magical Toe Ring off Emet's hands (and feet). He has been very active in quests otherwise, and is well-known in several circles by this point for seeking out useful or unusual magical items to collect (yes, I have receipts).
Basically: Daqiang is hoarding magical treasure like an old and cranky dragon and people, possibly nefarious people, have begun to take notice.
The quest would be to do some reconnaissance and help determine where Dongfang Qingcang's Treasure Pavillion is (because obviously it wouldn't be on his ship, right? right! They guy is a known teleporter!) and what treasures (not as publicly known as the Toe Ring) he might have hidden away (rewards purchases can be found through talking/bribing vendors at the RAY Trade Center) But the important thing is really the LOCATION of the Treasure Pavillion. So: Investigating places he's known to frequent and spying on him, then leaving what information is found in one of several dead drop locations for pick up by the quest givers later.
Reward would be doubloons for the information.
This would lead into a heist attempt at a later date, but for now, just reconnaissance.
Date: June
Questions: Not at this time
EDIT: Lae told me to outline the full plot this would be a part of:
Daqiang will be getting a treasure pavillion (private island) in the next couple months, but right now all the NPCS looking to rob him are assuming he has one somewhere other than his ship (he doesn't) because he's a teleporter, therefore it would be very convenient for him to have one somewhere else. They want information before they attempt a big heist that will go very wrong for them.
The next quest related to the heist is one where they will be asking people to rob several locations other than where they think the pavilion actually is (Determined by what information anyone doing the quest gathers) to draw Daqiang's attention away from his supposed pavilion. They will fail spectacularly because there will be no pavilion in that location but might still encounter Daqiang himself.
This will lead to a revenge bounty.

Character: Ganondorf, Sidestep, Reaper, and 3-6 other players. We can adjust that max if enough interest is shown, but for now, that's the cap.
Type: Player Plot
Idea: Ganondorf's trying to forcibly create a Megamaki army by feeding pieces to NPCs/using them to grow/harvest more to rinse and repeat the process. At least one of his crew thinks that's kinda effed up and would like people to, ah, stop this.
While presumably Ganondorf could just...pick up where he left off after all is done, presumably he'd be too distracted hunting those down who interfered with his plans and/or have another reason to put any further conversions on hold.
There'll be some horror stories that the NPCs can share, but we can go into more detail as requested/let that be uncovered!
Date: Month of August.
Questions: Ideally this would be two parts;
--Manta Board mission
--The actual rescue/mission post
------This will be split up into 3 groups; one encounters Sidestep will take the frontal assault, so to speak, on the docks. Reaper will take care of anyone who tries to sneak around the flank(s). Ganondorf will deal with anyone who sneaks past both of them in the brig itself. We'll be breaking this amongst ourselves but it'll likely be a 2:1:3 ratio.
And whatever fallout happens, happens. Only an OOC disclaimer would be needed re; 'this is a good way to get in Ganondorf's sights as a Potential Problem'.

In Which Ganondorf Earns The Triforce of Powermove
Player: ToniCharacter: Ganondorf
Type: Player plot(s)
Idea: I have at least two (2) deaths planned for Ganondorf, possibly a third.
The first will be more or less at Darin's hand; they'll get into a fight for one reason or another, and Ganondorf will basically force him to choose to either release him or deal with the fact that Dorf is about to self-impale himself on Darin's sword to try and break his spirit.
The second is ALSO against Darin, but mostly because it's a goddamn hilarious mental image; he'll be more or less trying to goad/mindjob Darin and mid-evil-speech...Garrus is going to snipe a bullet through his skull.
Third is nebulous enough that it has no details yet, but basically Ganondorf is an asshole and will make asshole decisions, so we're just throwing out 'this'll probably happen at some point'.EDIT: Third is at least a year down the line [assuming I'm still here], I'd like to run a Demon Dragon/Blood Moon plot but that's very much in the future and likely to have plenty of time between the second death and that one.Date: Not for a few months at bare minimum.
Questions: This is mostly to iron out possible consequences, side effects, as well as working around things to make it the most enjoyable for all players involved while still remaining logical for the game's mechanics/whatever happens around multiple deaths. Please know that all content related to Ganondorf's questionable decisions will bear content warnings in both the specific logs, and as we near the situation(s) in questions in the threads.
Obviously if one or the other character(s) involved backs out/has to drop the situation(s) will change, however, I would still like any knowledge available to be shared re; multiple deaths.
This thread can be screened if mods deem it necessary.

Character: Sidestep
Type: Quest or Event?
Idea: We've had Bugsnax island, but have you considered Wobbledogs island? Seriously, check out these egg laying insect ish dog things. Surely they deserve having an island themed after them? Alternately, they could be part of a quest, possibly with dog eggs as a reward?
Date: Whenever there's time to slot something like this in!
Questions: Am I doing this right?

Character: Karlach
Type: quest, I think?
Idea:
Since Karlach has connected with someone (Darin) who could feasibly work on repairing her heart, she's in search of fireproof materials to use in the repair job.
Could you hook us with a FALSE LEAD to find material that is strong, but doesn't quite hold up? Would love for Karlach and a small group (1-2 others) to start their search! I just don't want her to be successful finding anything just yet.
There has to be suffering first.Date: Next month? Or in the following months?
Questions: Lemme know if I have done any of this incorrectly, please!

Character: Nappa, Zelda, Darin Altway, potentially others, like Zelda's crew or other DBZ castmates.
Type: Player plot
Idea: Nappa kidnaps Zelda in an effort to extort money from Darin. He makes sure that the handover occurs the night of the full moon, so that he can take advantage of his Great Ape transformation. Nappa also seeds the area with his Saibamen; one, nicknamed "Vegeta" guards Zelda, threatening to detonate if anyone tries to rescue her, while the other four back-up Nappa.
Date: Ideally I'd like to run it for the people involved near the end of the month, as my reading week runs from the 24th to the 28th and the surrounding weekends so I'll have no school to contend with. The actual date of the full moon would be nebulous so as not to conflict with Zelda's plans for the monthly event.
Questions: I hope I'm doing this right! I wanted to go straight to a plotting post but I thought it might be a better idea to run it by you guys first just to make sure everything is okay.

Character: Azul Ashengrotto |
Type: Technically a player plot I guess since Azul is the one who causes this to happen but I am mostly offering this as an event suggestion to any players who wanna play around with the idea I have in mind.
Idea: During the auction houses log, Azul obtained a book containing records written by past anonymous riftfarers in the last few years or so, including details about different types of magic that was speculated for methods to try to allow a character to return back home from Escordvi. Azul wants to try one of the rituals inside, and my idea for it is that obviously it does not work as intended and causes a ripple effect that temporarily affects everyone else. I was thinking that the idea of the ritual was that if performed correctly it would teleport someone back "home" when a person thinks of the word "home" (or any similar equivalent to that) but instead of Azul being sent back to his own universe, trying to mess with whatever dimensional barrier surrounded Escordvi causes teleportation shenanigans to start happening not just to him but to everyone else in game: characters accidentally being randomly teleported back to their apartments/crew ships here in Escordvi, locations like a garden or dumped right into the ocean if those are types of places that remind them of "home", or even characters accidentally getting teleported and landing right on top of other characters in the game if they have CR that are from the same "home" or are otherwise someone they think of very closely and fondly as a sign of being "home" in a manner of speaking lol. Whatever players can think of to come up with as an excuse for their character suddenly teleporting and reappearing in another location for shenanigans, and the effect of this lasting for about a few days before the effects wear off and Escordvi "resettles" itself back to how it normally is?
Date: Probably after the upcoming April abduction plot? Whenever there's a free slot to slide this kind of thing in for you guys. Something light-hearted after the events of the abductions/arrests, you know? (Although Azul will be so peeved that this plan didn't work...)
Questions: This is my first time submitting something like this here so I hope I'm doing this right!

Character: Ganondorf
Type: Player Plot
Idea: SO VERY ROUGH OUTLINE-
--Ganondorf kidnaps Turo.
--Turo gets rescued through a combination of Sidestep's doings and others, including Dojima
--Sidestep gets publicly made an example of
--People go to rescue Sidestep
--END RESULT; Dead Sidestep (via Ganondorf-inflicted injuries), Dead Ganondorf (via selfimpalment via Darin).
Date: End of July at earliest.
Questions: Nothing too much, just making sure the timeframe is 'reserved' so to speak. I imagine this will take a period of two-three weeks from start to finish; one week with Turo kidnapped, the middle week with Sidestep being tortured, the final week/days with Sidestep's rescue.
Robotnik may or may not 'take over' the Scourge while Ganondorf is dead, as well.

Character: Sonic Cast, I guess?
Type: This is more of a, "adding unique items into the world in the future that could lead to plot/events etc down the line for the game to engage with".
Idea: An explanation and proposal of how chaos emeralds will work in this world, along with ideas that could affect the world in the future and give players something to engage with.
Date: Uh. Whenever the cast get all the emeralds and they eventually scatter or get corrupt.
Questions: None. Feel free to make adjustments or ask questions if something needs more clarification.

Character: Leona Kingscholar, and other interested parties
Type: Player plot
Idea: Leona's been researching some magical crystals to see if they can absorb negative energy. However, somewhere along the way, the experiments with the magic crystals goes awry and Leona ends up overblotting instead. Considering his signature spell capable of turning anything into sand, this has a possibility of doing some damage to the environment. The levels of blot surrounding him could also turn lesser creatures (such as animals or people with a weaker mental state) into Phantoms. The Phantoms can be easily handled and mostly wreaking some kind of trouble around. As for Leona's Overblot, Claude von Riegan and Azul Ashengrotto will be dealing with him primarily to knock him back into his senses.
Date: Roughly some time in July or August.
Questions: Idk if I'm doing this right, but I hope I am?
